Editing Services

What I Offer

I am a one-stop shop. As an indie author, I firmly believe in supporting every part of your story. Too often, I have heard horror stories from other authors in the space who received line edits, only to get their books back and then have to pay even more for developmental edits that could have been included in an all-in-one package. Because of this, I offer deep-dive developmental editing with all portions of the process (i.e., line editing, copyediting, proofreading), as well as book coaching for those interested in more hands-on help so that, in the future, you can feel confident enough in tackling such a beast of a process on your own.

All-in-One Editing Package

I offer two passes through your entire book to catch grammar, structural, and plot issues. These passes can be structured so that I offer my first-round suggestions, and you go through the document before I offer my second round, or whichever way you feel will benefit you and your project most.

Working with an experienced writer like Asher was definitely a gift. As a younger author with what I feel to be a very niche perspective, Asher made me feel like my work mattered, was understood, and could be valued at the same level as any other work in its genre. When it came to the editing process itself, Asher worked both hard and fast, honoring her commitment to finish the job while also making sure the job was done effectively. I learned a lot from Asher during the experience, especially regarding grammatical and syntactic ways to make my message more powerful. Asher consistently left fun comments in addition to the edits, helping me understand how readers may react to certain scenes. It was those comments, actually, that helped me get through the editing process myself, and helped beat any self-brought imposter syndrome that I, like most authors, unfortunately experience. All in all, my experience with Asher was educational, engaging, and ultimately inspiring, and her confidence in my work is a primary reason I continue to write.
